Danga City Mall

Danga City Mall is a shopping mall in Johor Bahru. Danga City Mall has an area of 1,000,000-square-foot (93,000 m2) and up to 500,000-square-foot (46,000 m2) nett lettable space on 7 levels. It was opened to the public on the National Day, 31 August 2008, officiated by YAB Dato’ Haji Abdul Ghani Othman, Chief Minister of Johor.

The anchor tenant for Danga City Mall is METROJAYA, a chain in Malaysian retailing industry. It also houses a variety of entertainment facilities. Major leisurely sports can be found at level 5. They are inclusive of a bowling centre, an archery centre, a large indoor paintball, Excite Fitness Centre and a spa centre. Besides that, the “e-kids” Child Enrichment Centre, which offers learning and childcare solutions for shoppers, is located at level 3 of Danga City Mall as well.

Completed end 2009, an exhibition centre named EXPO @ Danga City Mall has been built adjoining the main shopping mall providing a viable venue in Johor Bahru for small to medium scale exhibitions, events and warehouse sales.

As of 2009, Danga City Mall is the only shopping mall has it own train station. Furthermore, with the launch of free and easy tour service between Danga City Mall and Singapore, it has transformed the mall into an easy access travelling hub which welcomes the locals and the tourist.
