Born in Perth, she attended Methodist Ladies' College in Western Australia. From a very young age Dana began to work in film, the very first of which being the highly acclaimed short film Through My Eyes which she starred in at the age of nine years old. After high school she studied for a summer at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts in the Stonestreet Film and Television program until she was accepted into the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts where she graduated in 2005.
After graduation from WAPPA, Dana was cast as the lead in Verite directed by Adrian Cabrie of Trunctated Pictures and then went on to work in a number of films such as 'The Course directed by Miranda Edmonds, Grace and The Storm directed by Christopher Baldi, Bitter Art directed by Michael Hatch, Amelia's 25th directed by Martín Yernazian and is soon to star in the upcoming film Perfectus featuring Danny Trejo, Malcolm McDowell and Electra Avellan
