Dana Elise Glauberman (born December 11, 1968, Los Angeles County, California)[1] is an American film editor with about 10 film credits.[2] She has edited the recent films directed by Jason Reitman.
Glauberman studied film at the University of California, Santa Barbara.[3] She worked for several years on the editing crews of several television shows,[2] and in the mid 1990s she became an assistant to editor Sheldon Kahn working on several films directed by Ivan Reitman. She became acquainted with Jason Reitman, Ivan's son, and began to informally assist him in editing his early film projects.[3] Jason Reitman subsequently asked her to edit his first feature film Thank You For Smoking (2005). This independent film was very well received, and Glauberman's editing was nominated for an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award. She was nominated again for this award for Reitman's next film, Juno (2007).
Glauberman's editing of Reitman's third feature, Up in the Air (2009), has been noted in several periodicals.[3][4][5] Glauberman received her third Eddie nomination for editing this film.[6]
Glauberman has been selected for membership in the American Cinema Editors.[7]
