Daddy Cleanhead

"Daddy Cleanhead" is the stage name of Fred Higgins, the older brother of Chuck Higgins. He is especially known for singing "Something's Goin' on in My Room" (1954).^[1] (Gary Susman refers to it and an "obsure gem".^[2])

Fred Higgins was born in Fort Worth Texas. He moved to Los Angeles,California in his early years. He was Married to Myrtle E. Fatheree in the early fiftys. During his marriage to Myrtle they had four children. Fred Higgins Jr., Clifford Higgins, Cynthia Higgins and Barbara-Ann Higgins. His life was cut short in the late 60's when he was shot in killed in a robbery over his car radio.

He regularly sang vocals with his brother's band.^[3][4]
