- Dabar (zhupa)
-
Dabar was a small administrative division (a zhupa) of the medieval principality of Zahumlje (later Hum).
Dabar was situated around Dabar Polje, and bordered on Dubrava in the west, Nevesinje in the north, Fatnica in the east and Popovo in the south-west. "Dabar" means "beaver" and according to some explanations, the region's name could be connected to beavers. There was also another region with the same name in Lim River valley that had belonged to the Kingdom of Serbia until 1373 when Tvrtko I has gained it for Bosnia.
