Da-an District(大安區) is a coastal district in Taichung City, Taiwan,upgrade from Da-an Township. It lies between the Dajia river and the Da-an river.

The district's economy is based around rice.

The climate is sub-tropical.

History

In January 1842, one of the battles of the First Opium War was fought there.^{[citation needed]}
