Major D Shreeram Kumar AC^[1] is a Major in the Indian Army, born in the year 1981. Commissioned into army on 20 March 2004 currently he is an Instructor in IMA.

Childhood

Major D Sreeram Kumar was born in 1981 and did his schooling in Sainik school Amaravathi nager Udumalpet and passed out in the year 1998

Army career

Trained in OTA and was commissioned into 90 Medium Regiment(Regiment of Artillery) on 20 March 2004. Promoted to the rank of Major on 24 Aug 2008. He also served with 39 Assam Rifle in Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur

Major Sreeram Kumar has personally participated in many operations leading from the front and killed 12 terrorists, apperhended 23 terrorist and recovered many weapons since induction of the Battalion in Manipur for this act of bravery he was awarded the Ashok Chakra Award, India's highest peace time decoration.

He is currently an Instructor at the Indian Military Academy.
