IBM DISOSS

DISOSS (acronym for (DIStributed Office Support System) is a centralized document distribution and filing application for IBM's mainframe computers running the MVS operating system. Its counterpart under VM is PROFS.

DISOSS provides for e-mail and document exchange between various IBM office devices including Personal computers and word processors, in addition to document library (archive), format transformation and printing services as well as a rich application programming interface (API).

DISOSS uses the SNADS messaging protocol.
