DCD-DORBYL is a South African conglomerate cooperation originally founded in formed in 1946 when Dorman Long and Vanderbijl Engineering Corporation merged.[1] The company specializes in engineering projects, including rail and military defence vehicle engineering, roller manufacturing, marine engineering and mine engineering.[1][2] The current managing director is Mr Robert King following up from Mr Louis C J Taljaard.[2]
In February 2010, Westinghouse and DCD- Dorbyl announced cooperation on creating a plant for building modules for AP1000 reactors.[3]
