D. H. Melhem (born in Brooklyn, New York) is an American poet, novelist, and editor.

Life
She graduated from New York University cum laude, from City College with a master’s degree, and from City University of New York, with a doctoral degree in English and American literature. She is a lifelong resident of New York City, where her two children were born and raised.[1]
