Culture of the Community of Madrid

The Community of Madrid has a rich cultural heritage covering all eras, from prehistory to the present century, highlighting the baroque, romantic and contemporary paintings in Madrid, the palaces and gardens inspired by Versailles in Madrid and Aranjuez, the monastery of El Escorial, the ancient university of Alcalá de Henares, the National Library in Madrid, as well as theaters, churches and museums scattered throughout the autonomous region.

Museo del Prado

Teatro Real

Castle
