Gameplay
Gameplay includes the player controlling a gray arrow through multi-colored blocks that fall. The screen speeds up as the game moves faster in motion, and the blocks change from yellow, orange, or red, green and black, pink and purple, and other mixed stages. The stages repeat design; a straight space goes to a block free fall, then to a diamond pattern, then another free fall, and then slightly curved lines that fall into yet another free fall. When the last free fall is finished, then the player advances to the next level.
Reception
Although Cubefield is not very popular, many rate it positively. Yo! Games forums giving it an 8 out of 10.
Glitch
Immediately after starting the game's sequel (Cubefield 2) players can glitch the game by veering to the right, causing the center triangle to veer off to the side, just behind the first two double red cubes. Players can remain in this section for hours, or until they surpass the ending of the game's score goal.
