Craig Powell (born 30 December 1984) is a British recording artist and former lead singer of Uniting Nations made up of Paul Keenan and Daz Sampson. He was the frontman of the band and its lead singer in its biggest hit "Out of Touch",[1] a remake of Hall & Oats Out of Touch reaching #7 in the UK Singles Chart. He was also lead singer in Uniting Nations' hit You and Me.[2]
After leaving the musical band in March 2006, has had top 20 chart success all over Europe, including United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and France.
He has performed at events like "Party in the Parks" across the UK and on Top of the Pops and appearing on many music channels such as MTV. He is also a keen martial arts sportsman in karate, jujitsu, kickboxing and his main love is MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
In 2007 he joined the Searles Holiday Resort Entertainments team as a lead vocalist where he worked until the company was sacked at the end of 2008.
In 2008–present Craig works with his management company Nuxx lmt. Craig had a song he wrote called "She said" signed in many countries across Europe and is currently promoing "She Said" in the UK. Craig decided to leave Nuxx lmt after the signings of "She Said".
In 2011 Craig made a unique video for a song he wrote called "Can't Let You Go". The video was shot in King's Lynn, Norfolk and saw over 70 fans travel from all over the country to play a role in the video. The video saw all of the fans hugging in the high street with their partners. Craig is currently touring many of the large Holiday parks and nightclubs in the UK doing live public appearances to promote the new single.
He is also a Keen mixed martial artist (MMA) and has 1st degree black belts in Freestyle martial arts, Kickboxing and Jujitsu as well as a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. Craig is currently training for MMA cage fights and has trained alongside some of the best Pro Cage Fighters in the country. He also teaches MMA, which he first started teaching at the age of 17.
Craig's other hobbies include keeping fit, swimming and training at the gym.
