He is known primarily for his production, songwriting and engineering work on the New York-basedSalsoul Records ,Prelude Records and major record labels as well as his associations with various stellar recording artists such as R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, Salt-N-Pepa,Jocelyn Brown ,Loleatta Holloway ,Leroy Burgess and bands (The Universal Robot Band ,Logg andMusique ). He owns and operates Patrick Adams Productions in New York City.Career

In 1997, Patrick received the
ASCAP "Songwriter of the Year Award" for the third time including back-to-back occasions. In 1996 he won it for "Keep on Jumpin'". In 1995 he was honored by Billboard for the # 1 dance song "Keep in Youch (Body to Body)" by the Shades of Love.Cathy Dennis ' remake of the classic Patrick Adams/Greg Carmichael penned and produced "Touch Me (All Night Long)" became a #1 pop hit single in 1991. For this cover of another Fonda Rae-performed release, Patrick and Greg received the 1992 ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award. Among his hit collaborators, Adams co-wrote the 1979 hit single, "When You Wake Up Tomorrow" with 2001 ASCAP Top Dance Song Of The Year songwriter ("All For You"), Wayne K. Garfield, for dance diva, Candi Staton.
