CPH PIX is an annual film festival in Copenhagen, Denmark. The festival resulted from the merger in 2008 of the Copenhagen International Film Festival and the NatFilm Festival to create an organisation called Copenhagen Film Festivals, which also manages the documentary film festival CPH:DOX and the Buster Film Festival for children and young people.
The first CPH PIX Film Festival was held in April 2009 and it had an audience of 36,500 people, which was the largest audience ever recorded for a film festival in Copenhagen. The second festival is scheduled for April 15-25 2010.
Awards
The festival presents two awards; the New Talent Grand PIX which goes to a first time filmmaker and the Audience Award. New Talent Grand PIX is awarded by an International jury while the Audience Award is decided by the audience.
