Courtney Peak is a peak, 1,060 m, in the north part of the Gross Hills, Heritage Range. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for electronics technician Kenneth N. Courtney, U.S. Navy, who through Deep Freeze 1966 contributed to efficient communications during six austral summer seasons.
