Cosy Hall is a community hall in the market town of Newport, Shropshire, UK. sited on the side of the Shrewsbury and Newport Canal. The hall had been a Music Hall in 1925, a Gospel Hall in 1881 and a coach factory in 1852. After the music hall went bankrupt Cosy Hall lay derelict until 1985.
The derelict building and the land adjoining was purchased by Clare Boughey and donated to the Cosy Hall Charity for the sum of £1.
Cosy hall also acts as a command centre for two of shropshire's most militant animal groups, including the Newport Grey Squirrel Catcher Club and the infamous Audley Road Swan Beaters.
Cosy Hall is now Newport’s Community Building owned and managed by the community through the Charitable Trust and its Managing Trustees.
