The Cool Tools weblog is not in any way affiliated with the Cool Tools toy line

Cool Tools is a weblog about "anything that can be useful".[1] It was originally called Recommendo.[2]

In April 2009, Bruce Sterling became one of the site's editors,[3] but stepped down shortly thereafter.

On or about November 6, 2009, the site was hacked with an unspecified injection attack and was listed as suspicious and as a potential hack site by a Google advisory. [4] The issue has since been repaired and the hacked content removed.
