Compadre Academy

Compadre Academy (formerly Compadre High School) is a high school in the Tempe Union High School District in Tempe, Arizona. It serves at-risk students in the Tempe area.

From 2006 to 2007, it operated a Guadalupe satellite after Maricopa County turned over Guadalupe Regional High School. Major loss of students due to needed attention forced the school's closure after that year.

Administration

The principal of Compadre Academy is currently Sean McDonald, who has a BA in special education from Arizona State University. The assistant principal is George Barnes. McDonald serves at the main campus, while a North campus is run by Barnes.

Athletics

Compadre's mascot is the Dreamcatcher.
