The Columbia and Hamburg Railroad was a railroad company chartered in South Carolina just before the American Civil War.
The Columbia and Hamburg was chartered in December 1858 but it doesn't appear track was laid on the route before its name was changed to the Columbia and Augusta Railroad in December 1863, as the role of Hamburg, South Carolina, as a center of ecnomic importance was already on the wane.[1]
