Lt. Colonel Akbar (Veerapathirar Pernibarasa, pronounced Veera-pathirar Perniba-rasa), was the leader of Tamil Tiger Victor Anti Tank and Armoured Unit ^[1]. He was killed on the 7th of October 2006 along the Muhamalai Forward Defence Line.^[2] He was from Kathiraveli, Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka.
