The Saint Joseph College in Aintoura, Lebanon is the oldest francophone school in the Middle East. It was established in 1884 by the Lazarist priests. Today, it is presided by Father Antoine-Pierre Nakad and has 4500 students.
The school is known for the visit of French poet Alhphonse de Lamartine who wrote about the school and the town of Antoura.
