CollegeNET

CollegeNET, Inc. is a Portland, Oregon-based developer of web technology for higher education and non-profit institutions[1][2]

CollegeNET provides Software as a Service (SaaS) applications to improve efficiency, save money, and reduce paper associated with various administrative functions, including online admissions and application evaluation[3], contact relationship management, course and event scheduling,[4][5] space and resource management, faculty and course evaluation, accounts payable management, and commencement.[6] Over 1,300 colleges, universities and non-profits including Stanford University, Princeton University, University of Michigan, University of Oregon, University of Washington and Oregon State University now use the web-based administrative services provided and hosted by CollegeNET[7]

CollegeNET also operates Mach 25[8][9][10], a scholarship search engine, and CollegeNET.com, a social networking forum which distributes a weekly scholarship ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 based on points earned through a unique voting process.[11][12][13]

History

CollegeNET, Inc. was founded as Universal Algorithms, Inc. in 1977. The company changed its name in May 1999.[14]

The company launched in 1977 with its flagship product, Schedule25, a scheduling software algorithm invented by President and Founder Jim Wolfston.

CollegeNET has been awarded several patents for its web-based forms technology.
