The Coffin Cave Mold Beetle (Batrisodes texanus) is a small troglobite less than 1/8 of an inch long. They are found exclusively in small caves in Williamson County, Texas. The Coffin Cave Mold Beetle has no eyes, it has no need for them in the eternal darkness under the rocks and silt where it lives.[1] The US Fish and Wildlife Service considers the Coffin Cave mold beetle to be an endangered species.[2]
