Cody Raisig (born January 25, 1977, Troy, New York) is a New York City-based photographer. His photos have appeared in the New York Times,[1] American Photo Magazine,[2] and the Wedding Photojournalist Association's 2nd QTR 2010 contest.[3]
From 2000 to 2005, Raisig was photo editor of Freeskier Magazine. From 2000 to 2003, he was also principal cinematographer for Poor Boyz Productions, a ski film company. Raisig founded the ski apparel company Sublux Clothing, LLC in 2003 and sold it two years later in 2005.[4]
After his tenure at Freeskier, Raisig completed a photography degree from the International Center of Photography in New York City. While studying at ICP, Raisig was the recipient of the school's Director's Fellowship. His thesis project Who Stopped Foster at the Goal Line? was exhibited at the ICP and chosen for its 2008 Full-Time Exhibition.[5]
Additionally, American Photo Magazine chose Raisig’s photo West Sand Lake, New York for their 2009 Images of the Year collection.[6]
He continues to photograph in the commercial world, frequently working shoots for the athletic performance wear company Under Armour.[citation needed]
Cap Maison Villa Resort, located in St. Lucia, lists Cody Raisig as their favored wedding photographer.[7]
In January 2011, Raisig was ranked in the top 5% of wedding photographers by WeddingWire.com.
Raisig attended Colorado College as an undergraduate and received his Bachelors of Arts in English with a concentration in film in 1999.[8]
