- Cobra (ride)
-
The Venture Rides Cobra is a unique amusement ride that is uncommon in the United States. The rides platform is a steel arm that is permanently at a 25 degree angle. On each end of these arms, there is 6 ski-lift style cars, each holding 2 people, and are at a slight angle. These cars can swing to accommodate the high lateral G-Forces, and transfer them into positive G-Forces. The ride is generally green, with yellow accents along the main boom. Recently, Wisdom Rides acquired the patent, and is manufacturing it under the name "Viper". The ride has a cable running from the bench circles to the motor in the center of the ride. The ride holds 24 passengers total. The ride is trailer mounted only, and only takes up 1 trailer. A two-arm, 48 passenger model called the Super Cobra was (at one time) on the drawing boards; however, it is not known whether Venture Manufacturing ever produced one.

Ride cycle
The Cobra has 2 ride cycles programmed into it. The short program is about 90 seconds long. The long ride program, however, is about 3 minutes long. In both cycles, once the ride is full, the main boom rotates in 2 complete circles. Then the cars start rotating in their own circle, as the main boom is also spinning. The ride moves quite fast and has positive G-Forces in excess of 2 positive G, which is fairly strong, considering that astronauts feel 5 or 6 positive G's during takeoff.
