Career
Cliff Carr started at Fulham's youth system and broke into the first team at Craven Cottage in 1982. He went on to be captain and made over 150 first team games for the London club. He was signed by Stoke manager Mick Mills in 1987 and struggled to establish himself in the first team and almost left the club early. But he eventually established himself and went on to make over 120 appearances for Stoke before he left for Shrewsbury Town. Carr later went on to play for Telford United, Mansfield Town and Chesterfield.[2]
