Strychnos potatorum Scientific classification Kingdom: Plantae (unranked): Angiosperms (unranked): Eudicots (unranked): Asterids Order: Gentianales Family: Loganiaceae Genus: Strychnos Strychnos potatorum also known as Clearing-Nut Tree (Hindi: Nirmali Burmese:ခပေါင်းရေကြည်) is a deciduous tree which has height up to 40 feet (12 meters).[1] The seeds of the tree are commonly used in traditional medicine as well as purifying water in India and Myanmar.[1][2]
