Claudio Schifano was born in Siracusa (IT) 30 November 1953. Contemporary Art Informal painting.
Self-taught painter with a long and prestigious career, moves away from naturalism and from externals, to cut oneself and seek the interests of deep emotions. It is a cousin of the famous Mario Schifano, who died in 1998, the protagonist of "Pop Art" Italian, and younger brother of Luciano Schifano, author of the stained glass windows of the cathedral of Santa Croce in Florence and the squad of the Palio di Siena. He exhibited his first works in 1973, continuing to participate in many important exhibitions and art events.
