Clara Watkins McMaster (1904-1997[1]) was a member of the Primary Board of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for many years. As part of her calling she wrote many popular devotional children's songs including "Teach Me to Walk in the Light," "My Heavenly Father Loves Me," "Reverently, Quietly" and "Kindness Begins with Me."[2]
She was raised in Brigham City, Utah and was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 22 years.[3]
