The castel of the Jewish, in french château de la Juive (official name castel of Clementigney, in french château de Clementigney), is a residential castle located in the french city of Besançon (Franche-Comté).
The first building was constructed in a unknown date, the olders informations dating to 18th century. In the 19th century, a rich jew family (the Lippman, creators of the Lip company) bought the house and transformed it in a luxurious villa. Since this time, the castel of Clementigney are called castle of the Jewish. In 1850 to 1870, the architect Alphonse Delacroix reconstructed the building and make à castel in gothic style. During the 1920's, the villa begined a famous restaurant, to 2000's. Now the castel are a residential building. He's an official historical monuments of France since 2002[1].
