Christopher Hastings

Christopher Hastings is a 27 year old comic artist and creator best known for The Adventures of Dr. McNinja.

Biography

Chris attended the School of Visual Arts in New York, and it was while there in 2004 that he created the character of Dr. McNinja.[1] His webcomic has become one of the most popular and recognized on the web, and in 2007 Dr. McNinja won the Web Cartoonist's Choice Award for Outstanding Superhero.[2] Creating Dr. McNinja is Chris' full time job, and he spends about 40 hours every week on it. The comic itself is free on the web, and he makes money by selling books and T-shirts from the site.[3] He spends one day per week writing the script, then four days drawing one page each day. He estimates that each page takes 3–4 hours to draw.[4] The pages are then given to Anthony "Nedroid" Clark to be colored.

In March 2011, Chris announced that he had been hired by Marvel to be the writer for Deadpool: Fear Itself.[5] He is married to Carly Monardo, an illustrator for Lemonade Illustration and former colorist for Dr. McNinja.
