Christopher B. Field

Christopher B. Field is an educator and a noted comics scholar. He is a graduate student and teaching assistant at Southern Illinois University. He has published numerous papers on Art Spiegelman and superhero mythology in comics. His most widely recognized work is "'We Demand New Heroes': The Supervillain as Anti-hero" which he first delivered at the San Diego International Comic-Con in 2008.[1] He is currently working on a book that will trace the origins of the superhero genre to major traumatic events at the beginning of the twentieth century.
