Education
Fabre graduated from the Institut d'Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble (University of Grenoble) in 1993 with a DESS (equivalent to a Master’s degree) in Computer Science. His studies focused on low-level software, including middleware, OS, and networks.
Career
Upon completing his military service obligation in Africa, where he worked in IT for the French Army, Fabre joined Sopra Group in 1995 as an R&D software developer in his division. This division became Axway in 2001.
After making significant contributions to a series of important R&D projects, including the development of a new generation of EAI broker capable of handling XML standards, Fabre led the newly created Product Management team in 2002 and spearheaded the development of the company’s Business Activity Monitoring and Business Process Management solutions. In 2003, he assumed the role of CTO and led the charge to combine all of the company’s existing products into a single platform.
He succeeded Jean-Paul Bourbon as CEO in the fall of 2005. In the years since, he has relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona and overseen Axway’s development in the USA and the acquisitions of the following companies: Cyclone Commerce, Actis (a German subsidiary of Atos Origin), and Tumbleweed Communications Corp.
