Performing
Early Years
At age 16, he finished school to become a full time entertainer.[1] In 2009 Chris performed his first one man show at the Edinburgh Festival.[2]
Recent career
Chris performs Cabaret Acts, he won the junior section UK Cabaret Championship ‘Beat the Wand’ Trophy[3] at the ‘Blackpool Magic Convention’ in 2009. He was also nominated for young businessman and entrepreneur of the year by the Evening Chronicle Newspaper, but failed to win the title.[4]
In 2010 has performed at ‘The World Buskers Festival’[5] in Christchurch, New Zealand. He also performed at the Bahrain Formula One [1] Chris performed in the United States hosting & compering at Burlesque and Cabaret shows in New York and around Hollywood. He returned to perform at the ‘Fish & Tits’ Tent in the Shangri-La Field at Glastonbury Festival and also performed at The Big Chill (music festival) and Kendal Calling.
In August 2010 Chris returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his 18 night One-Man Stand-Up Comedy ntortion & Escape show at the Voodoo Rooms.[6] He also Performed an Upside Down Straitjacket Escape suspended from a crane over the Newport River in Wales at the Big Splash Festival.[7]
He also performed at the Jongleurs/Highlight comedy clubs with Bob Slayer’s ‘Rock & Roll Circus’ in December 2010.[8]
In 2010 Chris set-up his own cabaret show at Madame JoJo’s in Soho, London – The Carny Cabaret Show.[9] He hosted the show and hired in Cabaret Performers from around the UK to perform alongside him, mostly local london performers such as Equdor the Wizard and Sophia landi. The show received highly critical reviews, particularly of Chris's performance. The show was described as a "pile of garbage" while the performers were described as "Talentless" and Chris's performance was slated for its attitude towards female members of the audience which "bordered on abuse" [10] Whilst promoting this event Chris appeared on Simon Mayo Drivetime on BBC Radio 2.[11][12] This show ran for two dates and there are no apparent further dates booked.[13]
