Joseph ("Joe") Bernard Hudepohl (born
November 16 ,1974 ) is a native ofCincinnati ,Ohio and was raised in the suburb ofFinneytown . He is a 1992 alumnus of Saint Xavier High School inCincinnati and graduated fromStanford University in 1997. Hudepohl presently resides inTampa, Florida , where he works in the Asset Management group atGoldman Sachs .Swimming accomplishments
Joe Hudepohl was the youngest member of the 1992 United States Olympic swimming team that competed in
Barcelona ,Spain . He won a gold medal as a member of the victorious 400-meter freestyle relay team and earned a bronze medal as part of the 4x200 relay team. Hudepohl also represented the United States at the 1996 Olympic Games inAtlanta , where he won a gold medal as a member of the 4 x 200-meter freestyle relay team.Hudepohl's Olympic accomplishments followed an impressive collegiate and prep swimming career. He was named National High School Swimmer of the Year in 1992 and won multiple NCAA championships while competing for Stanford University. He was also a member of two American record relay teams and part of a world record 400-meter freestyle relay team at the 1995 Pan Pacific Championships.
Joe Hudepohl is also responsible for one of the greatest swimming sets known to the swimming world. It was drawn up by his coach, but he made it famous by his sheer speed in the set. Few people have ever finished the Joe Hudepohl, and he was definitely one of the fastest people ever to have finished it. The set consists of:
