Easily accessible from the city of Chicago via the city's "el" train, the North Shore and its diverse options of hotels, inns and B&Bs, Chicago's North Shore is a popular choice for visitors. Promoting the most picturesque region in metropolitan Chicago, the CNSCVB works with the Chicago Botanic Garden, Illnois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, Westfield Old Orchard, The Glen Town Center, Northbrook Court, Downtown Evanston, Northwestern University, Ravinia, Wrigley Field, Evanston Beaches, Kohl Children's Museum, Baha'i House of Worship, Grosse Point Lighthouse, Charles Gates Dawes House, Sheridan Road, and Frances Willard House.

History
Founded in 2002 following the regionalization of the Evanston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chicago's North Shore was the enclave for the families of the founders of the City of Chicago who built their historic homes along the shores of Lake Michigan. Now a thriving metropolitan region, it still maintains the scenic beauty and charm that lakefront communities provide.
Funding
The CNSCVB receives its funding from the State of Illinois, the municipalities of Evanston, Glenview, Northbrook and Skokie, along dues from its members.

The offices of the CNSCVB are located in downtown Skokie, Illinois.
