Cheyyar taluk

Cheyyaru taluk is a taluk of Thiruvannamalai district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters is the town of Cheyyaru.

Population

According to the 2001 census, the talk of Cheyyaru had a population of 317,942 with 159,033 males and 158,909 females. There were 999 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 68.81. The total number of households was 72395.
