"Chasin' The Wind" was written by Diane Warren and recorded by the band Chicago for their studio album Twenty 1 from 1991, featuring Bill Champlin on vocals. The song was produced and engineered by Ron Nevison, and it was mixed by Humberto Gatica. Being the seventh track on the album, "Chasin' The Wind" was released as the first single from Chicago Twenty 1 in January 1991. The B-side single of "Chasin' The Wind" is the song "Only Time Can Heal The Wounded". "Chasin' The Wind" managed to hit the charts in the United States, where it peaked at #13 on the "U.S. Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks" and #39 on the "Billboard Hot 100".
