Marriage and family
On 11 July 1919 at Hemmelmark, she married Prince Sigismund of Prussia, the second son of Prince Heinrich of Prussia, brother of Wilhelm II, German Emperor.[1]
They had two children:
- HRH Princess Barbara Irene Adelheid Viktoria Elisabeth Bathildis of Prussia (2 August 1920 – 31 May 1994) married HRH Duke Christian Louis of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and had issue.
- HRH Prince Alfred Friedrich Ernst Heinrich Conrad of Prussia (b. 17 August 1924) married Maritza Farkas (6 August 1929 – 1 November 1996), no issue.
Her granddaughters Donata and Edwina, are the only remaining senior members of the House of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
