Charlotte May Pierstorff (1908-1987) was mailed alive through the postal service in the United States.^[1] It took 10 years after May’s death for her to be recognized for being mailed. It was in 1997, that author Micheal ‘O’ Tunell, wrote his popular children’s book, ‘Mailing May’, revolving around May’s childhood.
