† Appearances (Goals).Charles 'Charlie' Vaughan was a footballer who played for Charlton Athletic[1] and Portsmouth[2] as a centre forward during the 1940s and 50s. He started his career with Sutton United. He helped them win numerous wartime honours and scored 42 goals in the team's 1945–46 season to win the Athenian League.[3]
In 1950, he joined the Football Association tour of Canada.[4] In March 1952, Vaughan featured in an England B team international against The Netherlands.[5]
