Charlie Brown (born in Dumfries, south west Scotland) is a former association footballer who played for home town club Queen of the South.
Brown signed for QoS in 1948 from LMS Rovers. Between then and his departure he made 49 appearances scoring 19 goals.[1] However Brown struggled to obtain regular first team football playing in an era having to compete with Scotland internationalist Billy Houliston followed by club record scorer Jim Patterson for the centre forward position.
As of 22nd July 2010 Brown was the oldest known surviving ex QoS player.[2]
