Charles Nunataks

The Charles Nunataks (73°19′S 2°10′W / 73.317°S 2.167°W / -73.317; -2.167) are an isolated group of nunataks lying 8 miles (13 km) south of the western end of the Neumayer Cliffs in Queen Maud Land. They were mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59), and named for Charles W. Swithinbank, glaciologist with NBSAE.
