Medal record Competitor for the United States Men's Rowing Olympic Games Gold 1952 Helsinki Eights Charles David Manring (born 18 August 1929) is an American competition rower and Olympic champion, and later naval officer. He won a gold medal in coxed eights at the 1952 Summer Olympics, as coxswain for the American team.[1]
