Charles Frederick (1739–1785) was the Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen from 1769 to 1785, and the paternal great-great grandfather of the first king of Romania, Carol I. His wife was Johanna, Countess of Hohenzollern-s'Heerenberg, and they had only one child, a son, Anton Aloys, born in 1762. Charles Frederick died in 1785.
