This is a list of fictional characters from the STAR One teen drama Miley Jab Hum Tum.

Main characters

Nupur Bhushan (Rati Pandey) She is naughty. She is unlike her sister Gunjan and is very outgoing. Nupur appears to be an energetic river. She is seen in salwaar kameez with plaited hair. She comes across as a drama queen who likes to exaggerate every situation. She dreamt of acting in movies and even marrying Raj of DDLJ.She acts according to the situation and is shown mature sometimes while, other times shows immature behavior. She shares a great bond with her younger sister (Gunjan). She also has a good bond with Samrat. But her real prince charming is Mayank who is totally the opposite of her. Through the course of the story, she falls for Mayank and gets married to him. However, she meets with an accident at the end of season 1.

Mayank Sharma (Arjun Bijlani) He is quiet, studious and focused on his education. He rarely has fun and is pretty serious about life. He has a bad temper and is hard to impress though, he has a wicked sense of humor. But still, His outstanding class performance and his good looks make him easily one of the most desirable boys in the eyes of girls. He is best friends with Samrat. He shares a warm bond with his mom. His father died when he was a child. He doesn't have many friends and usually keeps to himself. Though he hates Nupur at first, he eventually falls in love with Nupur and gets married to her. He loves her more than his life and can do anything for her.

Gunjan Bushan (Sanaya Irani) She is extremely pretty, reserved and scared character who finds it hard mix and mingle with her new college-mates. But still, She has her own sweet charm which especially attracts a hot boy of college,Samrat towards her.she is very beautiful and charming. She shares her feelings with her sister the most. She falls for college heartthrob,Samrat and for a long time, harbors unrequited feelings for him. She takes it upon herself to worry about everyone's welfare. And later he loves her back and already have confessed to each other. Eventually Samrat and Gunjan get engaged at the end of season 1. Season 2 has shown them to be separated after Nupur's death.

Samrat Shergil (Mohit Sehgal) Samrat is a fun loving, outgoing guy with a cool attitude. He has good looks and is also a good sportsman which attracts girls. He is slightly arrogant and over confident. He is also a prankster but has no intention to hurt anyone.he is cool,cute and handsome and attracts all the girls towards him.He jokes and takes light hearted pot shots but can never be projected as mean. He often hangs out with Diya but considers her just a good friend. He has a lot of friends who revolve around him but has two best friends Mayank and Benji. He also dated Sheena for a while. He later falls in love with Gunjan and confesses his love to her. They end season one as engaged,then call it off after Nupur's death in Season 2.

Supporting characters

Dia Bhushan (Navina Bole) Dia can be described as a high-class girl and she bosses her brother Uday around. She turns out to be not so bad. She had a feeling of jealousy of the two sisters- Gunjan and Nupur, in the earlier episodes, but later befriends them. She believed earlier that she is the one and only popular girl in Excel. She gets smitten by Rannvijay, the new boy who joins the college, without realizing his evil intentions. She is very loyal to Samrat. Dia and Benji seems to be close and might be starting to develop a bond of love between themselves.

Uday Bhushan (Jas Karan Singh)

He is a bit dumb and always confused still is a sweet guy. Amidst all the emotional scenes, Uday is the character who brings life to his near and dear ones. He had developed a liking for his class mate C.J. but now is after his new dramatics teacher Miss Tamanna, whom he calls Tam ma'am (in public) or Tammy instead of Ma'am. He grows really sad after Tamanna leaves the college.

Benji (Abhishek Sharma)

Samrat’s best friend. His name is Benjamin but everyone calls him Benji. He helps Samrat in whatever he says, and he is nice at heart. He doesn't like Dia & her followers but remains friendly with them just for Samrat. He also calls Gunjan his best friend and always supports Samrat.He is slowly falling for Dia.

Shilpa Sharma (Vaishnavi Mc'Donald)

She is Mayank's mom. Mayank is very close to his mother and they share a very good relation. Shilpa liked Nupur from day one and knew that Nupur was the girl that would change her son's life forever and fill it with love. She is a lot like Nupur and Nupur loves and respects her a lot. She is one of the best moms shown in daily soaps and unlike most mother-in-laws, she loves her daughter-in-law Nupur and adores Mayank and Nupur a lot. Shilpa is a very cool mother and understands Mayank's feelings. She encourages him to be social and not stick to his books always. She also has a lovely sense of humour and knows how to get secrets out of Mayank.

Riya (Perneet Chauhan)

She was Samrat's girlfriend in the past and Mayank consoled her when she was dumbped. She plays a comedy character in MJHT. She is the principle's daughter. She has worked in the serial 'Love ne mila di jodi' on Star one. She was playing the character of Avni, which is better known for her crying.

Minor characters

Sheena Malhotra (Preeti Keswani)

She came to MJHT during the play. She is a modern, fashionable girl who grabs everyone's attention. From the outset it seems she carries around attitude, but is later revealed she is good at heart and finally revealed that she has an evil side when she got jealous of Gunjan. She plays the love interest of Samrat. Her entry has an effect on all the main characters in the show. She eventually turns to be the villain of the show and she teams up with Ranvijay to destroy Gunjan's and Samrat's relationship but instead Samrat ends up breaking up with her.

Ranvijay Rathore (Rahul Arora)

New entry in Excel who becomes a competition for Samrat and Mayank. Having lots of attitude he challenges Samrat in almost everything and tries to impress Dia. He is a guy with evil intentions. He dates Dia with the intention of humiliating her as she had slapped him once. He hates Samrat and a great enemy of him. He tries to frame Samrat in a police case but with the help of the whole gang, especially Mayank he is sent to jail and Samrat is released.

Tamanna Seth (Kishwer Merchant)

Tamanna is a new drama teacher. Uday falls in love with Tamanna. But now, she has quit Excel college.

CJ (Shraddha Musale)

She was Mayank's and Nupur's friend and was also their classmate. The Tomboy of the college, who is in a constant war with Dia. Uday used to like CJ, but she kept putting him off by saying that they were just friends. She still saved him from losing a bet with Dia when she turned up to be his Valentine partner.

New Characters of Season II

Ash, Rohan, Riya and Nirbhai are the new students who join Excel College.

Ash first meets samrat while riding a bike and then starts considering him as a friend. She is wanting to know about samrat's past and keeps checking on him. she goes to gunjan for counseling. she calls gunjan "gunjan di". she tells gunjan that she met a guy who is suffering. she refers to samrat. she also tells gunjan that she is getting attracted to him. her full name is ashvini. She probably must have had a dark past.

Rohan likes Ash. He finds her hot and wants to date her.

Riya is a copy of sweet and smart Dia and Rohan's twin sister who is 2 minutes younger than he is. Rohan is over protective about her and warns all the guys of Excell to stay away from her. Her father had bought that last seat for her. That's how she is in excel college.

Nirbhai is a copy of the hot n cute Mayank. He had got the last seat because of his outstanding academic performance. It is still not decided about who is gonna remain in this college. Nirbhai or Riya. Mayank remembers his love life when he sees riya and nirbhai together. he finds nirbhai a pleasant boy. he asks nirbhai to come and stay with him.
