Cesáreo Gabaráin Azurmendi (Hernani, April 30, 1936-Anzuola, April 20, 1991) was a Spanish Basque priest and composer of liturgical songs such as Pescador de hombres (Fisher of Men) and La muerte no es el final (Death is not the End). Other well known compositions by Gabarain are "Entre Tus Manos" (Into your Hands) and "Madre De los Jovenes" (Mother of Youth) which are sung in the Catholic Mass around the world and in many different languages.
He studied in the Minor Seminary of Saragossa and Mayor Seminary of Saint Sebastian. He was ordained priest in San Sebastian in 1959 and was chaplain in San Sebastián, Madrid and Anzuola, where he died of cancer in 1991.
