Asad Sabetpour

Asad Sabetpour was born in Tehran (1948). He left Iran (1965) for higher studies to Pakistan and England where he received his BS and CDA in agricultural engineering.

After returning to Iran (1972) he became the first director of a newly established "Society of Iranian educated abroad" in Tehran. He joined IIN navy as a reserved officer in 1974 and was site planning and landscaping project manager for all naval bases in Iran.

After the regime change in 1979 he was appointed by secretary of defense Admiral Dr Madani as a managing director of cancelled Brown and root "Marina Cove" Chah Bahar submarine base project. while in Sisitan and Baluchistan he was asked to act as governor of the state. Later he was sent to Abadan as Mayor[1] of that city due to serious issues shaping up in that region. He left Iran in 1981 and is currently living in U.S.
