- Aruz Wezni
-
Aruz wezni, or Aruz Prosody, is a kind of Uighur poetic rhythm. The earliest founder of this versification system was Khalil ibn Akhmad, he used the ancient name of his hometown "Aruz" to name it. There were 16 kinds of modalities of it at first, later Persian scholars added 3 kinds. For example, the Uighur long poem Happiness and Wisdom from the 11th century had used the modalty named "Mutaqallip".[1]
